I have a better idea, one that won't potentially involve you "missing."

*Returns to the side a moment later, and lowers herself down on a rope, until she is within grasping distance of Bob. She holds out her hand, with a small wry smile on her face.*

*Bob grins*

Aww, you spoilt my fun

*reaches out and takes her hand*

One thing, keep hold of me or you'll drop into the water

*Holds on to Bob, and lets go of the rope.*

See, I can be trusted sometimes

*Bob smiles warmly*

You however are causing a servere conflict of faith within me

What do you mean by that?

I have this overwhelming desire to be honest to you. It is most disconcerting

The god of Lies, Deceit, and Trickery wishes to be honest?

Oh, I almost forgot, you're the god of Jokes and Pranks too.

Yes well, I don't like it, I'm not used to it and it's making me nervous, so can we please get going?

*Bob starts scowling and acting stroppy*

I thought you wanted to find your little man anyway, so it's of no imortance to the task at hand

*She keeps tight hold of Bob as they walk toward shore, trying not to act as uncomfortable as she feels.*

*Shairi shivers, and holds on to Bob's hand tighter than really necessary as they walk toward shore.*

*Bob looks at shairi*

What's the matter?

Still cold, still wet.

Well, we're nearly at the shore, so soon you can dry out, change and then we can go and find your man and you can stop making me feel like this

*shudders*

The captain hesitates*

*under his breath* Was my love really so lost? */*

*he turns back to Cal and Lilandra, lets his eyes fall to Lilandras sleeping face then focuses on Cal again*

You have won her from me, perhaps I had hoped for more than I could have. Take good care of her for me. Take the helm

*he kneels himself infront of her and kisses her hand*

Lilandra, find your homeland and your peace

*satisfied he gathers himself together and draws the blade from his belt, looking up as the small boat draws closer to the elven queen, he turns his gaze back to Cal*

I'm not going back with you

*he drops the blade into the water and watches it sink beneath the waves, then backs up to the edge of the small boat and draws his sword from his belt, watching the light reflect from it. He take one last look back at Cal and Lilandra, then takes a deep breath and drives the sword into his stomach. Gasping he takes a step back and lets himself fall from the boats edge into the water beneath*

*Lilandra is jolted awake by Cal's sudden shout and movement. She opens her eyes to see him reaching out for Jack*


*Her eyes can see, but her brain does not register*

*Scrabbles to her feet.. she slips on her cloak and falls to the deck. She rises again, in time to see Jack looking into her eyes as he falls from the boat and all she can do is sag to her knees and sob*
