Sierra Nevada 2008 Anniversary Even I don't have one of those You really must look out for the SN Harvest, especially the Southern Harvest. That's been my second favourite beer so far this year, after Real Ale Lost Gold IPA (we've still got a keg of it in the walk-in at work... trying to figure a way to get that one out and on the bus, all 160lbs of it, without anyone noticing ).

Now I'm just waiting to taste this year's Sierra Nevada Celebration

We've got some SN Celebration in the fridge here at chez Nerd. There's usually some Guinness at the store, but I swear they must ship the crummy stuff to us, and I've never been that impressed with a stout that needs a stupid plastic nitrogen doo-hickey.

The rest of those I haven't heard of, but we'll try to match styles, at least.

But we'll also get the one my husband makes at the brewery, fresh, here in America, that hasn't traveled 8,000.

I probably won't be able to make it then either - it's my first day back after a two week holiday I could definitely do with a drink afterwards too - I'm gonna have a crapload of stuff to catch up on, and we've got a corporate party starting at 8am, and these people are animals - last time they were here we'd made enough drinks to floor an Arcturan Mega Donkey before 9am

SN don't make a bad beer from waht I've managed to beg borrow steal and buy thus far and their stout... and their porter and... err waht where who why when which hwat how where err is err is that as in this* Friday? I'm ment* to be either in London or Lowestoft the next day... and I'm sure I have an err appointment Friday evening... but err damnit why don't i live anywhere near a bluddy offy... middle of a city... a student town... and the nearest offy is ... err bluddy miles away

Earlier I had the Comptche Logger It was better about two weeks ago, but I don't think it's moving fast enough.

I may have to investigate the US beers they've got in our very good local real ale pub tonight if we go there... Problem is I useually get distrated by the dozen or more handpumps of more local beers... which are of course priced a bit better than what for us is the imported US real ales if they've got some SN stout or porter though

Sierra Nevada Porter

They had that on tap at a local bar this time last year. Maybe they'll get it back in for the winter season.

I bought a case of it last Christmas to have at my Dads over the festavle seasons... unfortuantely my Father took quite a shine to it too and its so* expensive over here
