h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have managed to get hold of the following:

Anchor Steam Beer
Anchor Porter
Sierra Nevada Porter
Sierra Nevada Stout

...and there are probably more I can get hold of at the Maltings. Any interest in a US-style H&G beerfest in a week or two? Half term is next week so maybe B might be free as well.

Incidentally I'm drinking a Guiness this evening.

If you guys stateside can agree a free evening, I'm sure I can stay up. Might be wise to pick two possible days in case I have the early shift though

Tuesday and Wednesday usually constitutes my weekend, so those would be ideal, and I can easily get off early on Monday. In fact Friday is probably the only difficult day of the week for me, Thursday a little less difficult but possible.

Oh, and I've been drinking one of my favourite California beers this evening - Moylan's Moylander Double IPA

So the 31st or 1st? Either one I guess. I suppose this is the real advantage to being a freelancer.

I seem to be doing a lot of RL drinking at the moment, which may or may not be as a result of the nearly two hundred beers ciders and meads at the beer festavil ten minutes from my house... err so when is this one to be I might be able to get an order put in for a small case of a selection of state-side beers

Someone put on a beer festival near 2legs' house? Are they mad? Don't they know the consequences Don't they know what will happen to all the casks?

So is that June 1 then? Or do we push it off for another week?

It's going to be be a late afternoon/early evening session for us and a late night one for Rich, so I reckon we should leave it up to Rich to decide what kind of time he wants to stay up until.

Are we going with the aforementioned Anchor and SN beers? It's a little heavy on the dark ales right now. What else can you get from your supplier Rich?

Trivia: I am drinking a Hop Ottin' IPA from Anderson Valley Brewing Company, 7%.

I *really* need to write an entry on the regional lingo. Ottin' means hard-working, so hop ottin' means ... heavily hopped. Bahl means good, hornin' means drinking, kimmies means men, or more generally people.

June 1st is probably going to be good for me. However I still don't have my rota for next week, if I'm on the early on Thursday morning then obviously I can't stay up late on Wednesday night. If not we could have a plan B - either 7th or 8th June and I'll ask for shifts to suit

I forgot all about this and so haven't got any beer ordered up... and its a funny weekend thing this weekend thing I thinks Plus I may have overdone it a bit at the beer festavil down the road from me and... stuff...

Sorry folks - this is turning into a really bad week for me. The odds are that I will have either Wednesday or Thursday off (ie I won't have to get up early) next week though, so if you guys don't have any preference between Tues 7th/Weds 8th I'll let you know by the end of this week.
