Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted Apr 12, 2000
... the crowd around her made it impossible for her nextdoor neighbour to get a complaint in edgewise. Suddenly there was a ripping sound and a clap of what might have been thunder as the girl ran, Rincewind style, to the changing rooms. Entering a cubicle she jumped in fright because...

....it wasn't a changing room, rather a transporter. She's been transported to somewhere entirely foreign to her

...the staff room. She stared in awe as she looked at this have of tranquility, this paradise for stressed souls, this... smoke-filled badly wallpapered room. She realised she would need to get out of there fast. Turning to head for the door she found...

ARGH!!! This isn't working.. maybe if I had more stories on the go simultaneously, everyone would be so busy that there'd be less scope for mistakes. In any case, help with the second story please

Well, it looks fairly big. Personally, I'm going to wait until the third story. My guess is that the kids will turn up and do their stuff soon enough.

Why don't you start the third story?
First story!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 15, 2000
Lacking in inspiration. Once I've figured something, I've got to make it mainstream enough for h2g2, otherwise the kids won't want to touch it.

Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 15, 2000
Ummm, ok, hate to say this, but h2g2 isn't exactly mainstream (is it?).
First story!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 17, 2000
It is VERY politically correct.
I should say that h2g2 has it's own mainstream...and they don't like it when people don't follow it!
Guess it's the fact I've been here so long...I need a long break. Bye everyone

Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 17, 2000
No, don't go!!
So, are we the mainstream (God I hope not) or way out in left field?
And who are the mainstream ones?
First story!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 19, 2000
The mainstream is everybody. Everybody I've met. Apart from Stragbasher, who is the only person I know who's willin to challenge the PTB. And ffmike, who seems to have gone off in a huff cos that PTB been taking advantage of him.
Asteroid Lil I know better, she is my cyber-aunt after all . But I'd only count her out of the mainstream cos I know her so well.
Sadly, everyone else seems...
Which is why I'm taking it upon me to leave. However, I have lots of spare time at nights, so it won't be a sudden disappearence. But...

Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 20, 2000
Hmmmm- ok, but in the general scheme of things, I don't think many people round here are what you would call "mainstream". And why should you leave just because most people don't enjoy that agressive, offensive trip?
Tweetie- safe in the knowledge that someone has to reply

Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 20, 2000
No no - not just leaving cos everyone else is comparitively tame. It's to do with the fact I need a change of scene. Free up some time for other persuits.
If I don't leave, then the least I'll be doing is going back down the basics. Doing a From The Cradle, doing a No Prayer For The Dying. Get back to like it was in the old days. For starters, I shortened my name. Simplyfied my homepage slightly. Get the idea?
