Just a resident who figured he has some little-known information to help out any hitchhiker coming through.

Hi Alexandrian! smiley - smiley

This could turn into a really great article with just a little bit of massaging!

First suggestion that I have is lose the first person- 'We, I, etc..' It's not good form for the edited guide.

Is that topics for the article at the top of the page just to help you organize your thoughts? I'd take it out, and add the titles as headers in at the front of relevant paragraphs before you send it to Peer Review.

No profanity.

I'd like to see a little better location of the town- 'somewhere in Oregon...' doesn't cut it for someone who has never been west of the Mississippi! 'Thirty miles west of Portland in the Yaddayadda mountains' would work better.

I'm a bit of a history buff myself- I like to know when places were settled, what kind of industry brought people in, the local history stuff- think you could include a section on that? Doesn't have to be comprehensive, just there!

You need to put 'USA' in the title so internationals know what country we're in.

Really good idea to put the restaurants and fun stuff to do in there! I think that part of it is just perfect!

...I think I'll stop there for tonight. smiley - erm Sorry to hit you with so much at once! But really, this is going to be a great article, and I'm glad you wrote it!

Hey thanks for the critique!

This is actually my first entry so it was quite helpful. I've done the suggested editing, although I'll admit I probobly skimped a bit on the history bit.

I also added a sort of mini-event guide and an additional place of interest (Pilot Butte, one of the most important ones).

Are there any more suggestions before this thing gets sent to Peer Review?

(and hey, the geographical society seems like a good idea. It seems to me the guide does need more practical info on places. So I'll be checking that out.)
