Blistering row with a friend at uni, we avoided each other for days, until by chance we both met in the communal bathroom on the groudfloor of the halls to have a shave.
After a few chilly minutes, I ventured:
"Are we speakign yet?"
"S'pose we are." he replied and things went from there.
It was a diplomatic lowering of hostilities, it took a while for us both to let go what was causing the rift, but when we did things started to heal up. Now, I can recall the rage I felt but can't summon it back and that's a good thing.

I never really manage to ever hold a grudge for more than five minutes, so I wind up apologising to people who have offended me...
It does get rather annoying sometimes.
