Blistering row with a friend at uni, we avoided each other for days, until by chance we both met in the communal bathroom on the groudfloor of the halls to have a shave.

After a few chilly minutes, I ventured:

"Are we speakign yet?"

"S'pose we are." he replied and things went from there.

It was a diplomatic lowering of hostilities, it took a while for us both to let go what was causing the rift, but when we did things started to heal up. Now, I can recall the rage I felt but can't summon it back and that's a good thing.
