A Fly In My Soup
Lonnytunes - Winter Is Here Started conversation Jul 8, 2000
Loony: Waiter!
Demon Drawer: Hi, my name is Demon Drawer, and I'll be your Support. What seems to be the problem?
Loony: There's a fly in my soup!
DD: Try again, maybe the fly won't be there this time.
Loony: No, it's still there.
DD: Maybe it's the way you're using the soup. Try eating it with a
fork instead.
Loony: Even when I use the fork, the fly is still there.
DD: Maybe the soup is incompatible with the bowl. What kind of bowl
are you using?
Loony: A SOUP bowl!
DD: Hmmm, that should work. Maybe it's a configuration problem. How
was the bowl set up?
Loony: You brought it to me on a saucer. What has that to do with the fly in my soup?!
DD: Can you remember everything you did before you noticed the fly in
your soup?
Loony: I sat down and ordered the Soup of the Day!
DD: Have you considered upgrading to the latest Soup of the Day?
Loony: You have more than one Soup of the Day each day??
DD: Yes, the Soup of the Day is changed every hour.
Loony: Well, what is the Soup of the Day now?
DD: The current Soup of the Day is tomato.
Loony: Fine. Bring me the tomato soup, and the check. I'm running late
now.
[Demon Drawer leaves and returns with another bowl of soup and the check]
DD: Here you are, Sir. The soup and your check.
Loony: This is potato soup.
DD: Yes, the tomato soup wasn't ready yet.
Loony: Well, I'm so hungry now, I'll eat anything.
[waiter leaves.]
Loony: Demon Drawer! There's a gnat in my soup!
The check:
Soup of the Day . . . . . . . . . . $5.00
Upgrade to newer Soup of the Day. . $2.50
Access to support . . . . . . . . . $1.00

Yeah but I'm just quoting the commercial rate that we get stung for every time we upgrade works site.
Now this is unusual me and you being here at the same time for a change.

Are you quoting US dollars? When I worked as a graphic designer (print advertisements) my work was charged out at $NZ60 an hour. $NZ2 = $US1.
Are you on unusually late. It is coming up to 12 noon Monday in NZ.

On leave. My favourite time. Drinking during the day and the boss is still paying your wages. Bliss.

I'm not sure, but I think it's Pacific Summer Time and British Summer Time.
Apropos time; Could anyone explain to me when its AM and when it's PM? I always mix them up

AM is before midday, PM after - easy because A is first in the alphabet (like the morning is the first in the day)...I'm just assuming that's what you want to know, I've got no idea what Apropos time is....

Apropos = at an opportune time.
As in the apropriate time to do something, usually seasonal.
I'm going down the pub apropos the rain stopping
