h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Since I have moveed into my rented flat - in a whole row of rented flats, I have got 8 calls saying my postcode has been chosen as a great place for a show kitichen, my kitchen is 5 foot wide, it is tiny, like I'm assuming most in my street.

I have told them this, I have told them that I am dead, that I have burried my neighbours under the kitchen floor, I hae told them I will not go back to 'nam and still they ring, and still they ring, Ring goes the phone, I put down my meal ~ as I'm always meating, and answr it, thinking it might be inportant, and all it is is Mr **** your postcode has come up in ....

"Die, go away, you called me last week and the week before, I swore at you then, I'll swear at you now ****8**8*675549034@@~##543 ahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhahhahahha"

Of course, I also ge tthe really lavy ones, there my phone rings and I get a recorded message saying call this number - if they are too lazy to phone me and suffer the abuse I will reek on them and their kind, there is no way I am digifing them with a call

the people themselves who take a telemarketing job should not be condemned, but the entity that preys on the gullible over the phone should be collectively delivered to the nearest Vogon ship. (ooh, Room 101 on a Vogon ship....)

'excuse me, i'm the director of the (local) Police Athletic League and you are not contracted by us to solicit donations. i want to speak with your supervisor.'

that usually is worth a laugh.

I vote for this one. Always at dinner time, and invariably a recorded telemarketer. If they can't be bothered to call me when THEY'RE at work why should I bother to listen when I'M at home?
