A Conversation for FANTASY FOOTBALL - Season 12 - "Say No to Mafia Bucks"
FF12 - Week Fourteen
GreyDesk Started conversation Nov 7, 2004
As the week thirteen matches won't be completed until pretty late on Sunday evening. It's unlikely that I will get the results up that night, meaning that you'll have to wait until Monday evening. Therefore as I'm around at the moment, I thought I'd kick off the week fourteen thread now.
Well, you didn't care much for French Football with less that two-thirds of players putting in a prediction. So to make up for it four of this week's matches are straight out of the Premier League - so there's no need to do any thinking there then
The fifth and final game is a special request, and I expect Number Six to give us a full match report as he is allegedly going to be the BBC's reporter for the game
Southampton v Portsmouth
Tottenham v Arsenal
Fulham v Chelsea
Newcastle v Man Utd
Yeading v Halesowen Town <-- FA Cup 1st round
The closing time for this thread is 12noon on Saturday 13th November. And I'm going to be strict about this, as two of the matches are 12 o'clock kick offs.
Here also are a couple of handy links for the fifth match.

Hmm...I could swear blind that last week's forum never turned up in my Conversations list.
Not that that will make any difference to the fact that I owe Ormy another fiver. **goes off to look for chequebook**

Right! That's it! I'm not trusting Championship Manager ever again. Have you ever heard such a load of crap?
Southampton 3-0 Portsmouth (Ormerod) [I cheated a bit here - the game said Beattie, but he's crocked]
Tottenham 5-0 Arsenal (Defoe)
Fulham 1-0 Chelsea (Legwinski)
Newcastle 2-2 Man Utd (Dyer)
Yeading 0-1 Halesowen Town (Donaldson)

I found some club websites while doing a spot of research - Yeading's official one is very comprehensive - http://www.yeadingfc.co.uk/ and there's a good unofficial Halesowen Town one - http://www.yeltzland.net/

Ok here are my predictions in my bid for the lead. Three Derbys to make it hard eh?
Saints 1 Pompey 2 Patrik Berger (In the south coast derby)

Cottagers 0 Chelski 2 Frank Lampard (For the South London Derby)
Magpies 0 Red Devils 1 Wayne Rooney
Yeading 2 Halesowen Town 0 Dudley Campbell

"Want to go double or quits on this week's predictions, B?"
Abso-bloody-lutely not. Mind you, I thought the game was loopy for predicting Norwich 2-3 Everton, and look what happened.

Yes I was wondering what Al Jolson was doing playing in the Premier League.
You see, the use of nicknames is frowned upon in these threads as it does not necessarily get your message across clearly. Not that Demon Drawer takes a blind bit of notice

GD I refrained from calling Halesowen ahd Yeading by their nicknames that would have been too confusing and I always post in the order the matches were originally posted.
