*waves fiddle, bows while still bowing [this will only make sense if you THINK about how you PRONOUNCE the 2 VERBS in the sentence!]. Falls over.*

I hope the rest of my entries don't become a matter for the "Punctuation Police"
I didn't mean to attract attention to myself....

Harold in Italy was written by Berliz for Paginnini, who wanted to show off his viola skills. Berlioz wrote this piece, using a viola idee fix to represent Harold, and the viola part is quite hard. Yes you heard me right. Paginnini didn't like it coz it wasn't showy enough. Ungrateful b*stard. So now you know.

Think french- a fixed idea. It's a reoccuring tune that can represent something, somebody or an emotion. Or it could just be pretty. It keeps on being played and can be used, say, to link movements of a symphony together.

Oh I love teaching! But only people who want to learn though. I could be a clarinet teacher but NEVER a music school teacher. Most of the kids would drive me mad. They did and I wasn't even teaching them!

The keyboard player in my band is a teacher, I could never do a job like that, I would have to clip the little blighters round the ear if they got lippy!!
I'd end up getting the sack There again someone's got to teach some of the little darlings a little respect....

Hear hear. My feelings exactly. I've worked with them long enough (I was made an almost-member-of-staff at school I did so much) and if there's one thing I hate it's bratty, insolent kids with no respect. Respect is what makes the world go round.

When I used to train in Martial arts, it seemed that the young kids that understood respect did a lot better than those who didn't. Even in the likes of stretching excercises.
