Entry: The world after university - A2862975
Author: Big Al - U222665

This is my first entry to the guide that i've written and put up for review. It's basis is simple and the informatin is, as far as I'm aware, useful and correct. I'm open to constructive criticism

Hi Big Al,

Welcome to h2g2! I am pleased you are interested in writing for the Edited Guide - the more the merrier smiley - winkeye

The EG has cetain guidelines that each entry must meet, you can find them at <./>writing-guidelines</.>. I noticed that you had a couple of first person references (me, I etc) in your entry which would need to be taken out.

I had a quick look and didn't see anything already in the EG on getting a job after being a student so it looks like there is a gap to fill.

If you are going to stick with the job theme, then you could mention places to look for jobs, ie newspapers, job centre, professional journals etc. I think for a guide entry then things like that would need to be included.

It will need some changes to fit in with the guidelines, or if you want to leave it as it is - a humerous view on life after uni - then it will be available to everyone via the <./>search</.> facility. Just not part of the official guide smiley - smiley

There have been a number of collaborative efforts in the past that touch on this subject, and cover it much better than has been done here.

On that basis, back to entry with it.

Whoever takes it over should think about changing the title to something more job-specific, I think. And obviously change it to fit the EG guidelines.

Sorry I've been away for so long folks. Life took an unexpected turn and sent me on a bit of a trip. Needless to say, I have returned. If this entry is still on the cards at all, I'm more than happy to edit it. However, I fully understand if it is now to be buried deep within the vaults and forever forgotten about. Let me know people!
