The Parade, which I think is over, though I haven't said so officially, can still be viewed at http://www.h2g2.com/A274835 if you fancy it. It's essentially an art show, with various "floats" themed around certain H2G2 clubs.
The parade will be held again on April 28, 2001 in the US and 28 April, 2001 in the UK, Europe, and most everywhere else. The 28th day of April is significant in that it is H2G2's birthday, as well as my own.
I am not yet accepting floats for next year's parade.

You'll be taking the parade down? I bet a lot of the floats will become parts of permanent displays elsewhere on site.

No, I won't be taking the Parade down. I will, however, need to create a new page for Parade sign-up and such so that I can handle next year's show. As far as the parade being "Over", that will just consist of my putting a big banner on top of the Parade page that says "The First Annual H2G2 Parade is Now Officialy Over" and then in smaller letters below "If you'd like to see what it looked like in all it's glory, just read further". But really, how is a Parade special is it keeps going for a full year? It'd be like having your birthday every day. Eventually it would just get old and pointless. It gets old and pointless by the time you reach a certain age, anyway (19 meant nothing to me).
