I have a very similar recipe to the first one, but I add bacon bones, an a bit of bacon stock instead of milk, (but it must have the butter) to the soup, Yummy, especially after picking off all the bacon from the bones, to add to the mix.
By the way, butternut squash is called butternut pumpkin in Austalia, and ground black pepper is almost as good as cayenne.....
