Those who died in the two World Wars
Researcher 1182639 Started conversation Dec 15, 2004
Many millions gave their lives to the fallacy that war could end war. For this we stand in the cold on the Sunday nearest November 11 and observe a minute's silence.
"They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them"
Laurence Binyon (1869-1943)

John the gardener says, "Free Tibet!" Posted Dec 15, 2004
November 11 is a sad time, I think, because the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in two World Wars has been betrayed by our countries ignoring the invasion and occupation of Tibet.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
