How long have you been there? Amazing all the things you found out.
Do they mainly serve and eat fish in Granada? Maybe worth a mention if they do.
A few nitpicks:
>>and provides an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding mountains. Its history is inescapable, and it provides an excellent contrast to the overblown resorts on<< - can you maybe replace one of the 'provides... excellent'?
>>south through through the centre<< remove one through
like Tolkein's

Oh, and Tolkein should be Tolkien (my son dragged me off the PC before I could finish).

Thanks, Bel! They don't eat fish any more than anywhere else, it's all pretty standard fare. Mistakes corrected; I've just added a section on Lorca as well

Do you mean expendable, rather than expedient?
monarchs's >> monarchs'
Moors's >> not certain on this one, but I think it should be Moors'. Anyone else have a view?
Well constructed entry Rich

I meant that they were no longer expedient, but that doesn't sound right either. I've gone for 'no longer useful' - good spot!
A while ago there was a big s' vs s's debate in PR, and I think it was decided that s' was old-fashioned. I prefer Moors' and monarchs' myself and would be delighted to change them, but I don't think they're correct for the EG based on precedent.
for your help!

Interred her -> do you mean interred here, or is that right?
"He offered Fernando III of Castile a deal, whereby Granada's independence would be guaranteed in return for military aid. This unlikely alliance captured Muslim Seville, and the Moors held on to Granada. They would stay for over two centuries ... until eventually Fernando and Isobel decided the Moors were no longer useful and took the city in 1492. It was the end of an incredible era, a quirk of history unrepeated anywhere in the world."
I've cut out a bit in the middle to show you why this confused me. Is this the same Fernando? The bit about staying for two centuries suggests not, but I think it's just the way it's worded. Could just be me that's confused, of course.
Very nice entry.

Mariangus is providing me with some more information, so this is now officially a collaboration. I'll post again when we've finished

Finished - I'm just waiting for Mar to let me know if she wants a full co-writing credit or an additional research one

Ah. Mar is in the "Referenced Researchers" column, although that's not supposed to appear until it's edited
Hopefully the sub'll sort it

Oh, sorry. Mar doesn't want the co-writer credit as long as I promise to go to Granada with her to research the nightlife properly. I think there's an element of pride in this, as I'm sure she thinks I'm doing down Granada's restaurants and bars.

I've just corrected the credits tag; I'd put 'BIO' instead of 'DNAID'. Trig has told me off a few times for doing this.
