Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Nov 16, 2007
For the record, monarchs's and Moors's are both wrong. When the word is plural and ends in an s, the rule is to add just an apostrophe.
What you were thinking of, Rich, is the debate about what to do when the word is singular and ends in s.
Do we say Charles' or Charles's? The former is now considered old-fashioned.
This has been sub-edited and returned to the Eds.

Gnomon, before you go tearing into Rich, please take a look at posts 5 and 6

I did in fact read those postings, thanks h2ringer. My posting was an attempt to explain the matter to Rich, who appears to have got the wrong end of the stick here.

I didn't detect any tearing, actually; my flesh appears to be intact
Apologies for the misunderstanding, Gnomon - it has, however, been corrected in the Entry now. That'll teach me to rely on a vaguely-remembered conversation that went on in PR two years ago as a basis for House Style.
