h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This poem is one of my few attempts at writing a sonnet. My mother is an avid gardener and in her younger days her garden was glorious. She is 83 now and has arthritis in her hips which makes her unable to garden much anymore. This is a cause of sadness for both of us.

Sonnets are challenging. That's why I don't do them very often. But when you manage to nail one, you wind up with something special.

I'm on Miner watch at the moment, so I'm looking around. Obviously the CAC-C has got here first, but if you see any other gems that have caught your eye Hypatia, Tonsil's Revenge, then don't hesitate to point me in their direction
