Well, up *to* an hour. It could take as short as fifteen minutes, but that's if absolutely everything goes exactly as planned. Nanite production is so easy primarily because they don't try to fix mistakes when they make new nanites to help work, instead opting to break down the broken nanites and turn them into new ones.
It's a complex system, but it works, eventually.
