Hello there,
This is Part 2 of my Glenn Miller article. Part 1 - 'Glenn Miller (1904-1944)' can be found at A2566640.
I'd initially intended to keep both parts together; however, both sections combined would clock a terrifying 8,000 (or so) words. So for the sake of not killing off reviewers I decided to separate them after all.
I've tried to give this as thorough a spellcheck as possible; however, it's entirely possible that my Microsoft Word might have committed spello treachery yet again, so I would be grateful if you could catch them. I would be equally for your comments and suggestions regarding the article in general. Thanks.
Farlander.

Very well done.
The documents were sold by Sotheby’s on April 13, 1999 for a grand sum of $22,000 British Pounds.
This shows with a dollar sysmbol on my computer instead of £
I've an even more crackpot one for you - have you not heard about the aliens capturing leading musicians to take back for study ? According to this theory all the famous musicians who died in air-crashes in a 20 year period were spirited away. The theory points out that bodies were not found in many cases. I can't remember the list nowadays but Glen Millar, Jim Reeves, Buddy Holly, and The Big Bopper topped the list.

Hi there McKay, and thanks for going through the article!
Re: British Pounds - oh dear, you've discovered my little lazy streak, haven't you? My keyboard doesn't have a BP symbol either (it's the conventional $), and I was too lazy to hunt for the right symbol in the entity code list, so I poked it in as it was and hoped that somebody would come over and give it to me! So once again, thank you!

You can type a British pound sign by turning on Num Lock and doing the following:
Alt 0163
Micellaneous --> Miscellaneous
I think Le Borge's Airport should be Le Bourget Airport.

Another excellent Entry
Glad to see the 'alien abduction' theory in there Reference to it was made in an episode of 'Red Dwarf', but it wasn't exactly flattering to Major Miller, so I won't expand on it...

*racks brains*
In one episode, the crew pick-up some strange signals. Rimmer leaps to the conclusion that 1) it's aliens; and 2) they've come to bring Glenn Miller back. He promptly gets on the radio and shouts 'We don't want him. Take him back. You can keep him.'
Maybe you had to be there...

I'd put that in, only it would probably be more than just a little disrespectful. Darn, I wish they would re-run the entire series.

Thanks, Miloso! I shall have to get my paws on the Jimmy Cagney movie -- if the thing ever reaches these shores! (they're not exactly big on old films here)

A certain UK online shop named after a certain river in South America stocks the title on VHS but not DVD.
