But, I'm a Girl!
Yuvi Started conversation Apr 22, 2004
Though referred to as a "he" I am very much a girl. Also, I wanna just note that I am not from Grand Rapids, Michigan but from Chicago, Illinois.
ok, that's it...
Yay! I'm in the Post!

Tsk, tsk!
CAC-C didn't do their homework obviously! Would you like me to correct that for you?

Oh dear, once again the cruel androgyny of cyberspace rears its monstrous head to frighten and offend the fairer sex.
Truth is, the sexual neutrality or anonymity of 'print' has always been a blessing in disguys for female writers from Jane Austin to George Eliot to whatshername that scifi writer everybody thought was a guy.
But it's also true that cyberspace has failed to solve the problem of gender identity. Perhaps faith in old 'print' standards and values have persisted or perhaps we just haven't come to terms with openly and constantly announcing our gender.
It is a far greater problem than print ever had to deal with because cyberspace is an interactive medium which often requires the very information that one would not normally feel the need to express or necessarily feel comfortable in revealing.
But me, I like girls. And always treat them like ladies once it's been established that they aren't just one of the guys.

While I, on the other hand, treat everyone like a lady until they prove otherwise.

My apologies Yuvi! It was me that failed to do the homework and I have no excuse to offer.
Shazz, would it be possible to change it? Apologies to you too for extra work.
And , on the AWW thread for the original entry there was some last minute discussion of whether the teachers' names in the article should be there in full or referred to as Mr V. etc. I was going to follow it up when I got back from holiday but this has beaten me to the Post.
Yuvi, does having their names in full bother you? Any opinions here on that?
about that. Can I offer anyone a loobrush
to make up?

Aw, go on, prove you're a girl and use your intuition.
If a toothbrush brushes teeth
and a shoebrush brushes shoes
then it's probably very likely
that a loobrush brushes loos.
Now all you have to do is imagine all the other things that might need brushing and decide which one is most likely a loo.

Hi all
Waz - extra 's' added at the appropriate spot now - amazing what power one little letter has eh? Change sex at a keystroke! It reminds me of when I, too, was morphed into being male on h2g2 way back in June '99 - on the Front Page no less!

Odd how those glamour's occur.
I saw Willow turned into a guy on a Buffoid rerun last night...
strange how he was almost more attractive than she...
Be gentle with her Jwf, she hasn't had the full initiation into the mysteries of TooToo iconography, yet.

Thank you Shazz .
tr - '...where's the fire is?' Right here. I jumped straight out the frying pan into it.
Yuvi, I don't why the blue flower became a loobrush - at sometime it just did. There's an entry on a whole lot of alternative smiley interpretations here A692057. Which you might want to read, or perhaps not. Sometimes it's just better not to know.

Funny you should say 'ducking'.
There is a product called something-'Duck'. It's a squirt bottle of cleanser with a crooked neck designed to be handy when squirting down and upwards under the rim of the loo. This modern miracle product requires no brushing, it foams and cleans and is simply flushed away.
The neck of this bottle is supposed to resemble a 'duck' but actually more resembles a loon, cormorant or shag. Some people do call shags 'black ducks'.
Anyhoooo...

!
Shags don't look the least bit like ducks - black or otherwise.
It's understandable why the product is not called something-'Loon'. Or cormorant, or shag.
Although the Loo-Loon sounds pretty good, now I think about it.

Loo-Loon has a certain ring to it.
Better than Loo-Whopping Crane or Loo Flamingo - those are the guys with the really twisty neck bones. Or, perish the thought - Loo Goose.

See! I told you she'd get it.
I have faith in feminine intuition.
And I'm sure she's quite pleased to have it worked it out for herself rather than just be -fed.
