You're so right! I used to hate olives with a passion, but when I tried one recently having not eaten any for years I loved them. I'm now completely addicted to the things! I like especially the ones stuffed with red pepper.

The same thing happened with asparagus and mushroom. I still don't like sprouts or marmite though, and I don't think I ever will. Yeuch!

hmmm I love olive oil, and for about the first three seconds after I have put one in my mouth I love the taste of olives. But the aftertaste that kicks in then just puts me off...

Boo hoo all my family love olives... just not me smiley - blue

Not necessarily acquired - I've always loved them. But I had funny eating habits as a child. I liked aioli sauce (this very garlicky Italian stuff you get served with some fish dishes) even when I was 2.

Rumour has it...

If you eat 6 olives in quick succession - by the end you'll like them.
