I've just found out what salt licorice is and i have to say it sounds foul!

But then i don't like normal licorice unless its strwberry or sour apple flavoured.
My mum on the other hand can eat till it comes out of her ears!!

strawberry and sour apple is not real licorice. Its some sort of candy, but NOT real licorice.

salt licorice is definitely an acquired taste.

i think its because licorice come in thick long strips (or at least it used too) and shoelaces used to be of a similar consistancy.

i.e although not as thick still as chewy and tough.
will have to see if i can find some shoelaces and let you know where you can get them from, as really could eat some now that i've thought about them. smiley - biggrin
