[Ecg]: *chews on his fingernails a little*

"Um... I could eat and rest but we don't have that kind of time.
I'll just... catch my breath. Gimme a little."

(To the figure) : "I didn't doubt you could."

*Laughs*

"Now it'll start to get interesting."

~Maybe~

"Ok, I'll do what I can to buy you time. Not sure how long I can get for you, most of my magic skills are made for backup not one on one."

*turns back to the figure* "Lets see what you've got."

[Ecg]: *His breathing rate slows as he tries to refocus. He looks around for something, anything in the area which they are fighting that might be usable. Are there any candles or torches?*

*the floor starts to buckle a large crack starts to form across it through which smoke is rising*

[Ecg]: ~Heat...~
*Thinks. He looks around for any draperies.*

*Looks over at the crack forming.*
~That cant be good.~

*Takes a small step back to stay out of the way of the smoke being emited from the hole.*

[Ecg]: "Coals, wonderful... that's lovely."

*He tries to concentrate*

*flames flicker at the mouth of the (gradually bigger) pit*

*Takes another step back and looks over at Ecg. Nods to self and then looks back towards the hole.*

[Ecg]: *He starts trying to gather the flames*

*Watchs Ecg from the corner of her eye, before turning to the figure...who was mostly hiding by the flames and shadows being thrown off of them.*

[Ecg]: ~Burning draperies, smoke, there's the ingredients here for something, but what?...~

*He takes a brazier (sp?) from the wall and dips it into the flames.*

That's better.

*Sarah turns back to Ecg*

"What are you up to?" *She almost wispers as she move closer to him, so he could hear her.*

[Ecg]: "Bet the tapestries are flammible."

*He tosses the torch into the hangings*

*the hangings catch fire, the fire spreads quickly*

*the figure is shocked*

"Good idea," *Watchs the fire spread for a moment.* "Now to get ourselves out of the fires way and reach Alicia (did I get that right...bad memory ) before we can't breath in here."
*Noting the smoke that is slowly filling the top half of the room.*

*Ecg manages to smile inspite of himself*
"Okay then."

"Are you able to do any sort of shield spells..."
*Cast glances between the flames and Ecg*
"If you can put one on me, since I don't know how to cast one; then I could go after Alicia, while we have the chance."

[Ecg]: "No, but I can use wind magic to force the smoke away from you. Will that do?"

*figure screams in horror as a large wooden beam falls from the roof trapping him*
