h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*she drops to the floor, and it /just/ misses her; she rolls towards him by a couple of meters and lurches to her feet*

*she runs towards him*

*he waits until she is almost on top of him and then slams a powerful ball of dark magic into her chest*

*she drops mid-stride, but tangles her legs in with his and brings him down with her*

*she cries out as she hits the floor*

*he untangles himself and pins her down by her throat*

*she struggles against him, and manages to grab his face with her right hand - the only properly functioning part of her. Her left arm is beginning to get feeling back, some movement*

*she scratches him with her nails, looking furious*

*he merely tightens his grip, cutting off her air supply*

*tries to breathe desperately, then glares at Nick*

*her face is a mask of concentration, then there is a rush of air behind Nick*

*a large lion appears there, he roars thunderously and leaps on top of Nick, knocking him off Elandra*

~~~Lady, Lady do you need the tsunami~~~

*faintly, too faintly*

~~~yes!~~~

*pressure is still being exerted on Elandra's throat as Nick grapples the lion*

*her vision starts to go black*

*the lion roars again, swiping Nick across the face and trying to tear his hands with it's teeth*

*Elandra realises she's got the feeling in her arms back, but everything seems so far away...she fumbles around her neck for something*

*The Guards, Mer-warriors and people of the outpost have been forewarned and are hiding in the underwater caves, a roar of water is heard and the wave is seen heading for shore*

~~~Lady prepare yourself~~~

*before the Tsunami hits he uses the last of his magic to tighten the grip on Elandra before running*

*her hand snakes up to an amulet around her neck that's glowing brightly and grips it tightly*

*the amulet lends her huge magical power, and she uses it to fight the hold Nick has on her throat*

*slowly, she manages to fend it off...the lion disappears...then the tsunami hits, and she can't breathe anyway, for the storm of water surrounding her*

*she is washed along the ground, unconscious*

*Nick disappears moments before the Tsunami hit him; not even his presence remains*

*A Mermaid appear, grabs Elandra and puts her on high ground*
