*suddenly there is the smell of burning and the ice melts in a cascade; Nick's flaming sword has cut him a path out and he stands, dripping, to face the 2 women*

*Lumien stands at the ready, eyes narrowed.*

*a small smile is tugging at the corners of his mouth*

No I want to be rid of him too, I have the ingrediants for the hibernation spell, I'm staying

*The earth begins to crumble around him*

Wrong.

*Moves forward with her short sword, and using it like a dagger slices at the bandolier of bells across his chest.*

*Freezes the sword and throws a stone at it, the sword shatters*

*the bell bandolier frays and falls, Nick catches the end but the bells fall out; three chiming at once....the world sways and time seems to slow or speed up at once....*

*Starts to recite the hibernation spell*

Lumien, get chandra to drop this pouch onto Nick

*Lumien struggles to get her footing- the fabric of space-time fraying would make even the most surefooted mountain goat stumble.*

You foolish mages; look what you have done!

*he bends to retrieve his bells and rings them two at a time until all is normal once again*

*Chandra swoops down and grabs the pouch from Shaylar; she flies high again ready to drop it on Nick.*

*he rings his smallest bell so softly it is more of an idea than a sound...it halts Chandra in mid-air; the air has become thick*

*suddenly he stumbles, bright lights explode behind his eyes as he struggles to maintain his grip on consciousness*

*The pouch breaks and a wall of thorns and flowers grow around him, the flowers give off a scent that makes Nick drowsy*

*combined with the dizzyness he is already experiencing the flowers make it unbearable*

MAGE!!!!!!!!!

*Chandra lands on Lumien's wrist as she smiles hopefully.*

MAGE I WILL KILL YOU FOR THIS; YOU WILL DIE REGRETTING...

*he falls to the ground, he looks so much smaller and less threatening unconscious*

*Lumien falls backwards on the ground in relief as Chandra takes to the branches again.*
