'The entire physiology of the cat is designed to incorporate claws.'
Do I understand that you are a supporter of Intelligent Design?
Won't you include a 'sensitive people' disclaimer? Is this (along with the Monkey brains and Shrunken heads) the start of a whole series?
Fortunately I believe it is more out of ignorance that people declaw cats (for instance, I would never have guessed it was such a terrible procedure! Bad, yes, but not *that* bad ). Maybe this Entry will help saving some cats from a painful destiny

Ok, I've changed 'is designed' to 'has developed'.
Do you really think it needs a disclaimer? I agree entirely that ignorance is largely to blame for this but I've tried to write it in a dry, unemotional manner. Granted, I may not have succeeded in this as I do feel very strongly about it.

No no, it is very dry and unemotional (although it is quite obvious that you disagree with the procedure), you did well. I don't think you could make it any less icky, that's just the nature of the thing.
I don't know about a disclaimer. Maybe it would prevent people from reading the Entry who would proceed with declawing their moggy?
Maybe I'm being squeamish too, I would wince reading a dentistry Entry too

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
