[Ecg Unagi]: *Might as well try outright asking*
"Lady Shaylar... what am I supposed to try next?"

Show me what you learned from the books I gave you, if anything, NO party tricks, proper magic

[Ecg Unagi]: "Okay, here goes..."
*Gets the sand portion of the ground in the area to suddenly have sink holes that are like whirlpools.*

"I figured out how to make dirt behave as though it were water."

*Throws his fist in a downward direction.* the ground in front of Ecg undulates outward leaving behind a pit.

"...And how to flood those pits."

*Breaks a Y-shaped stick off a tree and uses it for dowsing. After awhile he pokes the tip of it into the edge of the pit*,- which then fills with water.

"I can use the wind itself to propel forward too."

*First Ecg takes a small hop and then he moves quickly toward Shaylar without moving his feet. Then does the same thing backwards (with both he is about one-inch or less above the ground).*

"...Oh yeah, and there's one other thing I learned Ma'am. I forgot to show you what I learned about fire,- hang on a sec."

*takes a step back, then laces his fingers like he was making a shadowpuppet. The flames he creates mimick the opening and closing of the mouth to some kind of obvious looking .*

"That's about it... those s did mention a little about electricity and ice. Can you please show me how to generate fog? I think I have an idea."

~Could sneak up on enemies while using a flame-sword if there "was fog out",- but I think it'd be best for only when outnumbered, no?~

*tom runs in*
Lady Shaylar, I have been sent by my master Cu, to come and fetch you. There is a situation in Lord Lycan room, which need's the attention of the high council, we need you soon. I can fill you in on the way.

[Ecg]: "Lady Shaylar,- that sounds urgent,- I (suppose) I will have to take you up on the rest of my lesson,- perhaps at some other time, yes?"

*Moves out of the way, so that Tom can stand in front of her.*

*Ecg Bows to Shaylar and Thurin, but does not say anything to interrupt, as he leans against the wall too.*

[Ecg Unagi]: ~Is there anything I can do?~
*Let me guess,- you want me to sit ...and wait*
"Permission to leave?"

[Eal]: ~Master Ecg, you're only an apprentice,- you'll probably only end up making things worse if you try and "help."~

[Ecg]: ~Tell me something I don't know Eal.~

[Ecg Unagi]: "Kylen, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get things right. he only thing that really keeps me going is knowing that I have to,- that there are other people out there, whom I may be able one day to help. ... that's what makes me continue to try, Y'know?"
*sulks some more as he gets bored, and creates a golem to be a dummy sparring partner (now that he has figured out how)*

"Golum, I want you to mirror my every move, ?"
*Midway through sparring with it, Ecg has his golem split into three to switch things up a bit*

"You will eventually. I had to get over some mental stuff to even attempt water magic."

[Ecg Unagi]: "Oh. um, Ow!"
*Ecg is caught off guard by this remark,- and he got hit by a punch from the third golem, while dodging the first one and blocking the attack of the second.*
"Kyai!"
*Explodes the three gollums at once with an abrupt water-ring*
}Splash!{
~Probably not the best time for introspection... while fighting three dirt-monsters, huh?~
*sits back down, and waits... wondering if the others are okay.*

~~This is Lady Shaylar all mages report to the Dining Hall, this is urgent~~

[Ecg Unagi]: "Mayhap it is worse than I had feared."
~Yes Ma'am, I'm on the way.~
"Kylen, Tom, that probly means you guys too."
*heads to the dining area*

Dashes for the dining room, hoping it isn't too bad. While running, he uses a wind spell to move faster.

*Thurin left, following the mages*

*Avatar heads for the dining hall.*

*smiles to herself as she glides into the training ground; her salamander was not ill and the morning seemed bright with birdsongs; she felt cheerful as she had not seen her mentor in a long while*

*bows to her fellow apprentices*
