"Hmmmm...Emo-weather, eh? First thing you would need to do is calm down. Next, try meditating. That helped me get over my problem with water magic. I have hear of those like you, but your the first I have met. I am guessing here, and no, I hate flattering myself."

*Ecg does not say much, but he starts to look up as the stormcloud gets smaller... his matted kelp colored hair is drenched. The look is his eyes is no longer one of anger or hurt... it is a curious and sort of quizzical one.*

"..."

*Ecg gets the shifting element cube he made to go and return to his hand (as though he were about to play catch with it).*

"Why does it... keep switching elements? without any transition between them... except for that hum?"

*Watches Kylen and Ecg*

<She keeps on further & further restricting the parameters of when I am allowed to be on... how, why, what for, etc. That is part of why I keep having , bad timing with my posts.>

[Ecg Unagi]: *Wishes he hadn't let his temper flare... quite so much.*

"I think the reason why the elements of the cube-I made keep overlapping might be because of the way I had been practicing the beginning spells, from those primers..."

*Changes the cube to a sphere.*

"Since each was organized in a similar way... (I think). , I practiced making a sphere out of one element, then another, then another, yes? Then I tried the same thing with a cube,... pyramids are still kind of tricky for me."

*Passes the sphere-to Kylen and has it revert to a slow spinning cube*

[Ecg Unagi]: "Lady Shaylar, Lord Thurin, Kylen,- indeed I do wish to learn,- it's just... just that,- I really don't know much on what to do... when it comes to incantations, and the like. I mean, aside from that homunculus there, and a few simple geometric shapes... I, - there are actual-spells to make objects instead of through force of character (/), Kai or Chi, yes? You know, that thing you westerners call (I think it was) -mana?"

Sighs, looking at the sphere. "Being an elementalist has nothing to do with spoken incantations, unless you like them. I perfer saying them in my head as I do them. That is why it seems like I do it with none. Lady Shylar is of a higher level then i, and thus can do more. All it takes is practice, and fine tuning.' i say, patting him on the back. "they overlap because they need to. With out the overlap, we woudln't be able to preform anything."

"Oh,... and here I had thought it was because of something like I had taken the directions and read them wrong. Er..."

*Makes an axe out of water, and has it hold itself-together/ in place.*

"Is that... really,- all there is to it (for now)?"

[Ecg Unagi]: ~So, does that mean I get to be an apprentice elementalist then... or are you folks really going to go and feed me to a bunch of s? I kinda was wondering...~

If you can do as you are told and actually listen to what you are told, you could start by learning the basics

[Ecg Unagi]: "The basics... and what are these basics?

So you didn't study those books I gave you properly then

[Ecg]: "I read them, and practiced what they said, reread them... if that's what it is you mean. I thought you had meant some sort of hidden basics Ma'am,- sorry to have caused any undue confusion."

*promptly decides he ought to shut up & see what it is that Lady Shaylar has to say*

[Ecg]: *fiddles with the aqua-axe and changes it into a spear out of water, then back into a short hatchet... but with a different design.*

", Lady Shaylar, I practiced over and over again... and read up [a lot] on the water-stuff in that book you assigned me. Really... see, now I can hold the water stuff together for longer..."

*hands the water hatchet to Shaylar*

"Well, maybe about ten-minutes... I think."

*Reduces the Axe to steam*

And what good is a water axe going to be in battle eh?, that's what I mean, you are good at party tricks but in battle you will be used as arrow fodder unless you can show me you can do more than trying to impress me, water is only one element you must be proficent in all, what good is water going to be if you need to create a tornado?

I am doing this for your own good, you must stop telling me what you are good at and inmprove what you are not good at, I want no more water magic untill you can show me how much you have improved in other area's, is that understood?

[Ecg Unagi]: *Oh, . She's actually doing me a favor... I wonder why. Maybe there are enemies massing at one of the borders? Hmm...*

~Yes Ma'am. I understand-that. If it's destuctively useful stuff you want to see me try,- ~

"HYuuuuur!"
*A crackling scythe of electricity forms itself in Ecg's clasped empty hand*

*As he gives it a few casual sweeps,- little bits of blue lightning arc off the blade's edge*

"Is that good? I can give a try at a bow and arrows with air too (I think)."

[Ecg]: *Disperses the lightning scythe*

"Lady Shaylar,- if it's magic-useful for battles that you want me to work on,- I have been meaning to test out that gollum thing you and Halimar were showing me earlier... I am capable of making multiple homunculi at once."

~This gollum thing, would- this work (it might be a bit of a stretch,- but I want to rise to meet this challenge)?~

*Ecg creates five homunculi (about 1ft. tall each) in a row,- and has the two take on the other three. At a certain point they all rush into eachother and thus merge into a single, larger one... a simple dirt-guy about 5 feet in height,- with a scowl-like visor for a face.*

"Could you show me how to make more than one of this full size golem at once?"

*Ecg has the gollum fold its arms across its chest and lean its head down, as though thinking.*

Shakes head again. "Ecg, we are not looking at parlor tricks. What if your enemy is a rock type creature? What do you use there? What do you do if you are being attacked by a water warlock, and are currently trapped in a water cage? You may know the basics, and can form weapons and charge already made ones, but unless you can APPLY them, there is no point in anything." I say, focusing on the earth infront of me, creating a basic earth golum. "Pretend this is attacking you. What do you do?"

{Ecg Unagi]: "Wellsir,-I...-"
*Gets drowned out by the howling of a wind he tries to call up to blast the thing apart*

"Err..."

*Makes a bow and arrows out of wind, and shoots the wind arrows at Kylen's golem, so that they puncture holes through it.*

"Does that count?"

*Ecg has his golem look over at Kylen's golum and shrug.*
