Yes, sorry I dozed off there. I keep the ginger root in the "Home Remedies" section.
*walks to a drawer and pulls out two larege and gnarly roots*
How much do we need? Oh, and the kettle is hanging from the rafter above you. I'll need to get the ladder.

Scandrea Posted May 4, 2004
*Lumien consults the parchment.* One part gingerroot for every two parts fairywort leaf. *She looks down at the small amount of ground leaves.* Erm, not much.
*She picks up a knife, and whacks off a palm-length piece of gingerroot, and starts grinding it.*
I want to thank you for your help.

Oh, that's allright. I enjoy this.
*puts the roots away and gets the ladder*
*takes down the kettle*

*Lumien continues preparing the gingerroot, with a sad expression on her face.*
I meant at Kalsho, too.
*Her expression becomes slightly more worried as she consults the parchment.*
It doesn't seem we can mix this with anything, or it will lose its effectiveness. Let's hope it tastes good on its own.

*Wolf enters and watches Lumien for a moment before makingg his pressence known*
Lady Swift, Lumien, are you still planning on leaving us?

Scandrea Posted May 5, 2004
*Lumien nearly slices her finger in shock.*
L-Lord Wolf, I- I-...
*Stops and thinks for a minute.*
I'm sorry.

*wolf looks at her sternly*
and so you should be...
*wolfs scowl turns into a gentle smile*
This whole leaving thing's just silly

Scandrea Posted May 5, 2004
It's not like I want to!
*Lumien dumps the now pulverized gingerroot into the container with the leaves.*
I just don't think I'll be welcome here anymore.

Hello, I don't think we've been introduced. I am Polonius Franc, propriator of the Daft Chef.

Scandrea Posted May 5, 2004
*Lumien slams the container down on the countertop, not hard enough to break it, but enough to make a loud noise. She spins to face Wolf.*
The attack on Kalsho was my fault! I drew them out when I couldn't handle all those orcs on the road! More importantly, it's my fault that you and the High Lord were injured! I was there! My arrows should have been able to hit those Drow before they even knew it! I should have done something, and-
*Remembers something important.*
WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE NINTH GATE ARE YOU DOING OUT OF BED?!?!?!

*Wolf smiles imishly*
Ohh I don't die easily and I recover quite rapidly...
*looks at and strokes Konrad*
unfortunatly not all of us are so lucky
*looks back at Lumien*
Huhif you're to blame then so am I, and Konrad. We were on that road too, and we didn't kill all the Orcs. I'm sure the High Lord will be fine too, and I doubt he'll blame you either, we knew an attack was coming, my friend as good as warned me that a large group of Orcs were gathering, but I didn't act on it, not in time anyway...

Hello Mr Franc, I'm sorry but I don't think we have met, although we may have seen each other around Imardin I guess...

Scandrea Posted May 5, 2004
Well, I can at least fix something...
*Lumien walks over to Konrad, and lays her hand on his head.*
Easy, buddy, calm down, and listen to me...
*She closes her eyes, and sends a pulse of energy to Konrad, after which she stumbles slightly (she tried it on the High Lord earlier), but recovers with a grin on her face for the first time in days.*

*wolf smiles at her*
Please don't leave, I don't think I'll be able to cope with Elandra and 'Wolf Boy' without all the friends I can get

Scandrea Posted May 5, 2004
Well, one can never make promises... but I won't leave until they drive me out!
Ooh. Sorry, Polonius!
*Lumien takes the copper kettle from Polonius, and hefts it over to the countertop. She dumps in the contents of the container.*
Let's see... two parts water for every one part fairywort...
*She dumps in the recommended amount of water.*
I'm glad you consider me a friend. I've made plenty of acquaintances, more than enough enemies, and too many superiors to remember, but I've never made very many friends, and that means a lot to me.
*Her stomach growls loudly, completely altering the mood.*
Heh... haven't eaten yet today... kind of slipped my mind. This needs to steep for a few days. Care to go get something?
