There is an old saying, cheap helmet cheap head. A stupid statement as all helmets have to manufactured to a defined standard.

I get the one that provides the best value for money, is comfortable and provides good vision. My present helmet is an open face from Lidl that cost about £20 including visor. Compared with a full face I have superior all round vision and the visor does not mist up. As far as I am concerned these, and the light weight, negate any perceived benefit of the chin guard.
