A Conversation for Talking Point: Endearing Pets
Pet disasters

Oh dear. I've had loads of pet, so loads of disasters.
One budgie got gassed to death when my son (when a toddler) turned the gas fire on without igniting it (his arm suddenly grew long enough to reach the dial when I wasn't expecting it).
One of a pair of gerbils had a stroke, so I had to put him in a seperate aquarium. When I was out one day, his mate got out of his, and into the sick one's and killed it.
My mum had a yorkie that lost control of her bladder when excited, so you had to be careful if you picked her up when you visited, just in case you got peed on.
And my loses his claws every spring.
Send this page to Ashley and ask him about his budgie.

I have a budgie dying story also
one day I was at a family friends BBQ when my mum pointed to their budgie and said that the water bowl was empty and it being a hot day maybe she should give the bird some water the friend did this and while she was doing it said it was her sons bird and that he never looks after it and its a wonder that it's not dead yet.
On hearing this my mum looked at the cage just in time to see the bird keel over and die then look back at the friend and say you don't have to wonder anymore.
