How many ways do you know so far, and what are they?

1,
But the saying goes 'there's more than one way'
The one I know is just a cut along the belly and the carcass just slides out

Do you really have a deep seated urge to skin a cat, or are you just asking out of interest?

Well you could make the cut along the back first - see there's 2 already.

You might check with Mr M. Python; they spent some time doing pet conversions, so there's bound to be something about skinning cats. As I prefer my three alive rather than dead or coming back to slash me up in the middle of the night, I don't know any.

Do you think that cats have sayings about human mutilation to help them make their way through their simple feline lives?

A side issue, perhaps, but...
1. The University of Cambridge, than which, other than Glasgow, there is no finer Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, describes the hood of the degree thus "As Medicine, but with more fur"
2. The origin of fur round hoods is that students at Cluny in Paris who would nail cats to walls, by the tail, and then head but them to death, and append said tails to their hoods.
Happy thought

My great grandfather could skin a cow faster than any man in the world, but I don't know about cats. Perhaps if you used one of those peely things that people peel apples with?

Past experience teaches me never to give kithchen tools the obvious names. Peeler sounds right, though.
What about scaring it so much that it jumps out of it's skin?
If you were living in a cartoon (and who says you aren't) you could just slap a zipper onto the feline and unzip it, and the skin would come off like a pair of trousers.
