Mort, my comment was more directed towards Mikey who is saying she's doing a list when you've quite clearly said that you've already e-mailed them about this. I'm trying to curb her enthusiasm for poking the staff and giving them repeat stuff to do, rather than yours.

Out of the moves I originally had added to my email (somewhere around 25-30), there were only 2 where someone had noted in the thread that they had sent the email -- those I just missed, for which I apologize. There was another handful for which no one had noted an email was sent in the thread, and since these were entries for which I had previously sent an email, I saw it as my responsibility to remind the eds that the move hadn't been made.

Get off your horse.

As far as I can see it was only Hell who was doing the single move e-mails, and he's been told to cease and desist on that score.

I'm looking into a way of getting around the repeat e-mails to the Scout group issue. But right now I need to go to bed and get some sleep. Leave it with me for a bit

Regardless of the single move emails, the vast bulk of those I included in my email were ones that were already waiting to be moved, but had not been included in the last round of emails. Just because someone has sent a long list of moves does *not* mean it was a comprehensive list.

Come on Mikey, it doesn't take much time to cross reference a list with the messages in the Yahoo group. You make your list up as full as you want, then chop it down if the move has been mentioned before to the group.

All I'm trying to do in all that I do is to simplify the task for the staff. And creating double lists isn't the way that I would go about it.

As I said, I've got some ideas as to how to get around the problem of comprehensive lists etc. And I'll be on the case about it soon-ish smiley - winkeye

That's what I've done, so I'm not sure why you're so hot and bothered. But while I don't mind checking the last weeks worth of move emails, I'm not going to go through and check the whole archive of emails -- as I said, I have absolutely no way of knowing which moves have slipped through the cracks.

But I first leave a note in the thread stating that an email has been sent -- whether it was my email or someone previous who didn't leave a note in the thread, at least someone coming along afterwards will know that as of X date, an email had been sent. If other scouts compiling move emails did the same, duplicates would not be an issue.

That's all right, Mort. No offence taken smiley - smiley

I'm sure by now you'll have seen Jimster's reply to Mikey's move list in the Yahoo group where he says to, "keep adding to the big list and reposting it". Well that is some what contradictory to the approach that I was advocating. So my apologies to Mikey... and, um... well keeping listing and fire at will I guess smiley - ok
