A Conversation for Greebo's Party!!!

Has anyone tried the lights to make sure they work?
Greebo Needs You!!
Menza Posted Dec 19, 1999
But its always much easier to test the light before they go on the tree, saves having to fight your way round the back to change the fuse bulb.

Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Dec 19, 1999
*Gw7en comes charging in with lots of stockings for the fireplace and a plate full of brownies - just the regular kind*
I don't think that the fireplace is big enough for everyone's stockings... *three more appear, one on each wall* That's better! *begins hanging them*

Dancing Ermine Posted Dec 19, 1999
Speaking of which, do you think the room's big enough for 30,000 researchers?

Beeblefish Posted Dec 19, 1999
*Beeblefish stumbles in with a jigger of dark spiced rum, some milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg
and the rest of t he ingredients for his ripping egg nog and wearing a Santa Hat.*
Congrats Greeb, this is one of the busiest forums!
*Beeblefish deposits this mess in the kitchen, leaves and comes back a few
minutes later with some ingrediants for shortbread cookies*
*Takes his Santa Hat off and puts on his chef's hat*
Lets get cooking!

GreeboTCat Posted Dec 19, 1999
Cooo... me got a busiest forum... ~happy grin~... and everyone is having such fun...
Have a good christmas Mad Hatter... Me will think of you... ~smile~... Really want to taste that egg nog...
Me wonders if there is a santa hat to fit my furry head????
Greebo Needs You!!
Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Dec 19, 1999
Here, Greebo, try this! *produces a santa hat and places it on Greebo's head* How's that?

Jasmine 105452 Posted Dec 19, 1999
Hi Greebo - what can I do to help? I'm pretty good at blowing up balloons, and making paper chains. Have you got anyone to organise party games? I'd love to volunteer! But anything I can do to help is just fine. This party looks pretty good already to me. Where shall I put this box of doughnuts?

Ooooh, party games - good thinking, Jasmine!
Greebo Needs You!!
Jasmine 105452 Posted Dec 19, 1999
Do you think a game of pass the parcel would go down well? I could wrap up these doughnuts.....
Right then - musical chairs, apple bobbing, pin the tail on the researcher... Are these suitable games for the assembled thrall? Do we want something more 'adult'? Twister (with a twist), yard of ale contest, identify the researcher by touch only...? Any suggestions?

Beeblefish Posted Dec 19, 1999
*Beeblefish wanders in from the kitchen with a tray of freshly baked shortbread cookies in one hand and a large bowl filled with rum-laced egg nog in the other.*
Tuck in kids!
Jas, I .llike the way you think, count me in for all of those! (And if anyone is interested, I have some special brownies baking in the kitchen!)
*Puts his Santa hat back on and pulls it over his eyes, produces a tail with some tape on the cack*
Now who shall I pin this on . . .
*Wanders around the room blindly, from his coordination, it looks like the nog
was rum infused by the good old "one-for-me, one-for-the-bowl" method.*
Greebo Needs You!!
Jasmine 105452 Posted Dec 19, 1999
*Jasmine runs round the room, dodging Beeblefish, and taking frequent sips at the egg-nog - just to make sure it's okay*
I'll have a shortbread, and I wouldn't say no to a brownie either.
*Jasmine's voice gives her away, and Beeblefish sticks the tail directly on her backside*
Darn it. Never could resist fresh baking! Guess it's my turn. I'll need a blindfold though.
~Jasmine~ (not Jas PLEASE *shudders*)
Greebo Needs You!!
Jasmine 105452 Posted Dec 19, 1999
Anyone got a blindfold? And would anyone like to help with the party games, like dividing people into teams for 'pass the orange in an amusing and original way without using your hands'?

Dancing Ermine Posted Dec 19, 1999
*Removes tinsel tie from around neck*
Here, use this.
And remember to leave some of the cake for the party....there's a whole five days and 3hrs 47 minutes to go until Christmas GMT.
Greebo Needs You!!
Jasmine 105452 Posted Dec 19, 1999
I think the tinsel might be a little uncomfortable. I was thinking of maybe a scarf. Someone must have come in wearing one, after that nasty weather out there?
Did you say cake? Haven't tried that yet! These shortbread cookies are lovely though.

Pastey Posted Dec 19, 1999
Anybody mind if I gatecrash? I'm afraid I didn't get an invitation and am currently just hanging around looking for something to pass the time, and I could smell that food
Greebo Needs You!!
Dancing Ermine Posted Dec 19, 1999
This is just preparation for the party so you can gatecrash if you have something to contribute.
I don't think there is any Christmas music yet. Gossip always goes down well too, what's in the next POST?
