Liverpool and West Ham United's football strips on Match of the Day?
I've an evens chance of the stadium so I'll guess Anfield.

Again? Not doing too well on this one. No DGI point for that being the first game broadcast in colour on Match of the Day?

I was only a likkul girl
And I also remember that we could actually tell the colours on the table, except when the brown and blue balls were too close together.
Amazing how many shades of grey there were!

lil, pay no attention to the nasty
It is true and that's why I was smuggly typing about football & thinking I'd cracked it. Check out the Funny Old Game section of the BBC website for 15th Nov. At least that's one in the eye for those who don't believe in co-incidences

Just to be sure that we aren't barking up the wrong tree - does the answer revolve around television?

It may help to figure out what date he is talking about. You say 15th November 1969 in the title and 'the date in reverse' in the clue...
Do you mean 9th June 1115? or or 1511? 1915? 1911?
Key: Complain about this post
