Roger Moore partnerships?
Well what about Roger Moore and Tony Curtis then? The Persuaders? Not sure how Tony Curtis is connected to QI though.

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like? Posted Feb 18, 2010
Nothing to do with Tony Curtis and I don't think he inspired QI not that it has any relevance as such.
Is it just seeming so to me that unlike most men who resemble more and more their grandfathers as they grow old, Tony Curtis appears to be turning into his grandmother?

He should have opted for the monkey testicles.

Tony Curtis has been quoted as saying ""I was 22 when I arrived in Hollywood in 1948. I had more action than Mount Vesuvius; men, women, animals! I loved it too."
So he probably did get his hands on some monkey testicles!

So, we're looking for "The real inspiration (in part) of QI".
I imagine that any mention of anyone connected with the TV programme would be a Mistake.
Is it someone who would normally be associated with Roger Moore, or is it just that the juxtaposition of the two is somehow interesting?
How about Lord Reith, with his 'inform, educate and entertain' or whatever it was?
Actually, it's not even clear if it is a person. Could be another quiz, or Trivial Pursuits?

I just re-read the clue - it is a person, not a thing.

Post 16 : I think he was born in Singapore. Unless I'm getting him mixed up with someone else. He did have an interesting life, though. And the Saint was recreated several times, different incarnations having different nationalities (American or British in the short stores; Indian in one of the film adaptations).
TRiG.

Correct.

It isn't someone normally associated with Sir Roger (such as Lady Moore) nor are they associated in the way that Laurel is associated with Hardy, but they are associated in a way that is the answer to part three.
How about Lord Reith, with his 'inform, educate and entertain' or whatever it was?
Not Lord Reith

You've just reminded me that he is Sir Roger, and brought back memories of when his knighthood was announced. I remember wondering why in blithering hell should a third rate actor like him get a knighthood, and then I read why and felt suitably chastised. I won't google him just in case, but if I remember rightly he's done huge amounts of work over many years with the likes of Unicef (?), without once getting all Geri Halliwell about it.

I've thought of a 'Roger' and 'Seven Dwarfs' connection, though I will eat that hat over there to my right (your left) if it has anything to do with the answer. I am the proud (?) owner of a vinyl copy from 1970 of "Music From the Body" by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) and Ron Geesin. It is a strange mixture of dire, interesting, and wonderful. In proportions of about 98:1:1.
But, anyway, it has a track called 'More Than Seven Dwarfs In Penis Land'.
The music was an accompaniment to an "art" (i.e. borderline pornographic) film called, obviously, The Body. The only reason I know anything about the film is because a few years back Marina Hyde, a Guardian columnist, discovered that British government minister Kim Howells was one of the 'actors' in the film, and took some delight in mentioning it. Regularly.

hygeinicdispenser.
You are correct that Sir Roger was knighted for his work with UNICEF. He was also responsible for a campaign which resulted in Sainsburys ceasing to sell foie gras though that was probably a minus point on his knighthood potential score.
The information on Roger Waters and Kim Howell was interesting but not interesting enough for a QIBonus however I thought it worth something and rather than arbitrarily awarding points I did some research and discovered a relevant connection between Kim Howell and the question that deserved a DGI +1.
I am constantly amazed by how virtually everyone and everything can be connected if you look hard enough.

"Nine points of separation, pebble????"
In this case it is surprisingly (to me anyway)only one point of sepaaration and not related to acting!

I can't think of anyone who might be an inspiration for QI, so I'll resort to random guesses.
Albert Einstein
Vernon Kay
Hans Eysenck
Frank Sinatra
Richard Feynman
Ant & Dec
Murray Gell-Mann

And anyway your guesses are far too random to ever hit a
