Having no knowledge of your age Bob, so don't be insulted.
Were you being offered leadership of the Nazi party in the years following 1924 but continually refused the offer because you had homework to do?
If you think that's a wild guess, my first option was that you were walking out with young Miss Shicklegruber but didn't declare yourself in time and she was swept away by Herr Hitler!

But seriously now,
Was this the writing of Mein Kampf, and did the authorities ban it, thus not allowing the free spread of Hitler's ideas that would have alerted more people to the danger he would pose?

ooo - one of the first american translations of mein kampf was edited out to reduce, or even remove the references to antisemitism. there was this fella named Cranston, who decided to publish his own uncut version. hitler sued him, won, and halted sales of the complete version

Did the publishing of Mein Kampf lead to Hitler getting a job offer as a writer or something, which he turned down to follow his political career?

bobstafford Posted Jan 24, 2010
Much closer he only had 1 book in him... stay with that

Taff Agent of kaos Posted Jan 24, 2010
hitler only had the time to write mein kampf when he was in prison he wrote it on prison paper and when he was released he only had one copy of the manuscript, the prison authorities should have confiscated the manuscript, because it was in efect prison property, the result being he wouldn't have had the time to re write it on the out

The 'Missed Chance'.....
Did some British/American Publishing Houses miss the chance to translate it into English, so that the chance to stop old Adolf was missed before it was too late???

After the publication of the book, the only one he had in him, something happened, which was a chance to affect the course of history perhaps but was missed.
After the book Hitler rose through the ranks of the National Socialist Party so the missed chance would be something that might have impeded his progress.
How do we know he only had one book in him? Because he never published a second one.
Was he asked to write a sequel "Mein Kampf:The Return of the Sith" but couldn't get to grips with it or turned down the request.
If he had spent time writing the sequel this would have deflected him in his rise to power within the party.
Key: Complain about this post
