A Conversation for Talking Point: The Working Week
3-day morning job

My stepfather worked a halfday job in a clinic after he retired as an Ostetrician. By arrangement he worked the 25 hours per week over three full days - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This makes every weekend a 5-day long weekend - and you only have to pay busfare for three days instead of five!
(I'd prefer three weeks off per month - but only if I could work half day for the the other week!)

If we are all going to have to continue working past 65, which looks increasingly likely, then I believe part-time work is the way to do it.
Mind you, like yourself, I'd like to work part-time now!
