Right, the last three, as of pretty much now, are:
* marwinko 5 Hours Ago
* HERGiE 3 Hours Ago
* glassStanley 3 Hours Ago
Dubious about the ACEness of this experiment, should we really allow these newbies to go un-greeted when we know that they are there and we are online and active ?
Troubled conscience that's all.

I doubt it, having registered that long ago. I just got one, littlebrianjohn, who was online -- couldn't live him in the cold, as it were, all night.

Andy Posted Jul 11, 2004

Ahh... cunning.
*More troubled conscience*
I wonder if this is really fair on the ACEs who are not online right now?
I suppose a fair few are probably lurking.
Still, it all seems rather like subterfuge to me.
I'll come back tomorrow and greet them if noone has... which I fully expect not to be the case.

Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream Posted Jul 11, 2004
I've not welcomed any on current newbie list today, I've been going through 2** newbies, and finding those that have not been visited by an ACE. I'll probably be doing that for the next couple of days
I Welcomed 19 today (Sunday) not that I'm bragging, just explaining why I'm not 'appearing' on the current newbies list.
We've all been doing so well recently, keeping the list down
all round, let's work together, and keep it down, anyone else wanna drink to that

I will drink to that too, as I am slaving over a hot guide entry. (Subbing it of course - not just slaving over it for the fun of it )

I now make it 20 researchers in need of a welcome so from me leaveing last night about 1am-130am to now 21:10 no one has done a welcome
so much for the idea all the Aces are pulling there waight
give me a badge let me at them

Laura Posted Jul 12, 2004
I ACE'd a few this morning before going to work, at around 7am, so at least some new users have been welcomed since last night

benefit of doubt...
Not everyone comes on site every day. Some may only come on at weekends. Weekdays can be busy for some.
So judging on one night is a bit harsh. better to take an overall view over a couple of weeks.
Just throwing that point in for consideration.

Andy Posted Jul 12, 2004
so you would say that we have a valid point at this moment in time
its the same ones who welcome newbies
i have just seen a Ace who is online now 3 week's since there last welcome
it realy unfair on you and the others here who welcome time after time and becouse a few who would rather seem a cut above normal researchers i am unable to help you

Andy Posted Jul 12, 2004
Mort....

1)The Ace made no attempt to welcome as far as i whent back
2)the other case there online and not wellcomed for 3 weeks yet are online now so obviously dissregarding the newbie list

I think you know how I feel about it.
But you gave figures overnight, so (playing devils advocate) it is only fair to mention that not everybody comes on everyday.
I have looked at ACES in the past, and they haven't welcomed in a long time. So I completely know the score

>so from me leaveing last night about 1am-130am to now 21:10 no one has done a welcome<
Easy on the jumping to conclusions though... For the record, there was another batch [12 actually] done by yours truly today...
So, without wanting to go back to a certain misunderstanding, I would still like to remind everyone that this thread is public and as such we should be careful not to make assumptions too fast on here... For example, if no-one had bothered correcting the >no one has done a welcome< bit, anyone visiting this thread could have taken it as a fait accompli...
Anyway, I'll be around for a little while again...

mort....
Yeh i know how many times you tackled the list when non of the other welcomeing Ace's could get on
but over night/3 weeks/3 month you will find the results would stay the same same aces doing 20-25 welcomes between them to try and keep up the only time they should differ after a recrutment drive untill it settles down again he/sh isnt doing it why should i kicks in again

Laura Posted Jul 12, 2004
I certainly haven't been the only one ACEing today , I did have a very quick look and there were at least three more ACEs welcoming.
