never read any of those...
You should read books by Dan Simmons, namely the Hyperion Series, if you like Sci-fi.

Perhaps we should take this particular conversation to a new thread and not clutter up the Commander's Office?

we now have a library, so book discussions should really move over there.
GB, when you get the chance can you please put a link in the 'Base' bit of the guide page? Also the link, there, to the bar doesn't work, the one at the bottom of the page, in the 'recent discusions' does though.

just to randomize what's going on here some more...
Posted to the Usenet by Thomas Dzubin of Vancouver, British Columbia: "There was this fireworks factory just three blocks from the Hotel California . . . and it blew up! Big tragedy. One of the workers was named Wurn Snell and he was from the town of Colitas in Greece. One of the workers who escaped the explosion talked to another guy . . . I think it was probably Don Henley . . . and Don asked what the guy saw. The worker said, "Wurn Snell of Colitas . . . rising up through the air."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
