I'm fine too - except for the work problem that I am procrastinating here over. I have a bug in a program that I wrote and have been looking for it for 3 days! Still haven't found it. AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH.

*Eats EBA and feels better*

How 'bout trapping someone and making them listen while you explain what each bit's meant to do?

Good idea. Right now (or at least before I came here), I was stripping out chunks of code and seeing if the error still occurs. The program is now quite small (and getting smaller), but still has the error. I have isolated it to a small bit of code, but that code, I think, is perfect - it works in other programs. Anyway, it's frustrating and a good dose of H2G2 and doughnuts is good for the soul.

Have another EBAsmiley - winkeye

Could there be a problem with the compiler/interpreter, or something? Have you tried rewriting the bit of code? Trying to write a substitute piece of code, to do the same thing, without looking at the original?

I'm pretty sure it is something weird elsewhere in the program, even though when I comment out the one section, the program runs. That's why I have been deleting other parts of the program and leaving in that one section. The problem is bizarre: a small section of code initializes a 1-dimensional array in a loop. If I comment out that section, the program will run. If I explicitlly initialize each element of the array, it runs. If I use the loop to just initialize the first element of the array, it runs. But if I make the loop cover the first 2 elements, it bombs. So the problem is something else, somewhere else in the program. Anyway, I shouldn't bore everyone with details.

*eats the two EBA's and thinks it is probably time to get back to work.*

Thanks. Catch you later.
