I'm pulling my hair out trying to work out how to use powerpoint for a multimedia presentation coursework. Why the university can't use a nice and friendly multimedia program like Scala is beyond me.

Reason it that conference centres tend to use powerpoint believe me. Its for you long term good or at least til some update comes along.

I think my problem is that I've never used powerpoint before, and the Evil Assistant isn't much help either since all I do is shout at it a lot and try to think of imaginative ways to kill the dratted paperclip off.

Me I use Will Shakespear, which is worse cause you end up having to translate what it means into today speak sometimes.

The university doesn't like people messing with the settings of stuff so I'm stuck with it

Got any post-its handy, than at least you can gag that infernal paperclip.

BTW, I found that bug in my program. It wasn't actually in my program. I seems that the optimizer on the compiler rearanged my code so that it was using something before it had been defined. The program works fine if I compile it without the optimizer. I guess it has a different idea of what optimizing means than I do.
