I remember Mrs.Merton (British TV show) told TV chef Garry Rhodes that her favourite TV chef from old times was Fanny Craddock, and asked him "how often do you think about Fanny?". His answer was quite cool: "She's on my mind quite a lot"!
At one of his theatre appearances in Edinburgh Julian Clary (most of his show is innuendo!) asked the audience if we could all hear him, even at the back. Everyone shouted "yes!" of course, and then he said "Good, so you're receiving me at the rear"...!

After one of her programs during which she made donuts, the announcer said "And I hope all your donuts turn out like fannys"
