Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

I'm giving up... I'm not even gonna ask.

Well, since I'm on my way to my still-internet-less home:
once again, from the National library, this is Lady Pennywhistle, signing off.

I'm from Jerusalem. That would be approximately 10,000km away from Chicago, or something like that.

It is also the only city that has its own mental syndrom.
Not one called after it, mind you - one actually caused by it... people come here and go nuts. Really.

No, it happens to pilgrims that get here and are... overwhelmed by the hollyness, I guess. They start thinking God is talking to them and stuff like that. Happened quite a lot when we had the big religious tourist wave back in 2000 - I think they probably came here expecting for something to happen, and when it didn't they got so disappointed they went insane. smiley - biggrin Poor fellows... but I still find it rather amusing.

oh the year religios inumeracy? i remember that, when people both failed to realise that Herod died in 4 BCE and then couldn't add 2000 to 1 and ended up celebrating the the millenium either 4+ yrs late or 1 yr early depending on how you look at it.

smiley - cheers

Yes. Anyway, nothing happened... though now that you mention the +4 years thing, we did have a little earthquake today! It was very weird, the building shook a bit right in the middle of my Grecian Culture exam. Definitely not a common thing here, earthquakes... but as I said nothing happened.

I think.

smiley - huh

It's mainly literature, with some snippets of phylosophy and history. Not anything about art... just a load of Greek tragedies. smiley - smiley

I guessed it was meant to be a pun of some sort, but I'm afraid I still don't get it.

So, what's the answer?
