Oh we had the best time! Ook is still a little confused by his blueness after I introduced him to some orang history, but he's pretty cool with it. I played him a whole load of different music and he seems particularly taken with punk and classical(?).
Haven't started on Backgammon yet but I fear for his scrabble opponents.

He's been hanging out (literally) in the reference Library reading the Oxford English dictionary...

In the dream, Joanna and I witnessed a jet crash. First there was the jet overhead, extremely large and slow, and then there was the crash and the plume of smoke, and then there was also a rain of burning bits which set fires all over the town. I was on my way back toward my place when I met up with Joanna, whom I guess I remembered from the Meet pictures. We were just sort of sympatico, the way we are here... I must remember to tell her about it when I see her next.

I spent the afternoon in Costa Coffee, was ok but the company wasnt too great and the coffee got cold too quickly... if only they had the majic beans :o(

Anyways, i went and purchased a book which i have nearly finished - Ken Russel, Mike and Gabys Space Gospel, basically a fun book taking the mick out of organised relgion...

I' still really worried about the whole hostage situation....

Hi y'all! I don't have pneumonia! I went to a doctor, and I was terrified, but the x-rays are unambiguously clear. A crappy sinus infection and bronchitis yes, but the pneumonia has not come back.

Hey Garius, has your parrot a name? When I was looking through stock downstairs I found some biscotti. I think biscotti is just fancy ryvita so I didn't bring any up... but maybe the parrot would like some?

Yes, Lil, the parrot has fairly sophisticated tastes - I suppose to make a good counterpoint to a pirate. And no, he doesn't have a name yet. He has referred to himself as Polly before, but I think that was just to be witty. (At the Masked Ball, he said: Aaawwk, Polly want a canape). DD's suggestion of Aaawwk would fit, but I don't think the parrot would like it much - it's not aristocratic enough. Perhaps the regulars could make suggestions.
