I saw that, Legend. It's bigger than the giant squid, so they are calling it the colossal squid!

Have to think twice before I go swimming in the ocean again!
*Throws a b'log on the fire and snuggles up with a blanket on the Deep Purple sofa.*
IIEM, a cup of would be nice, please.

It wasn't full grown yet either
According to the thermometer the temperature on the shady side of the garden shed is 18.5ºC. Out of the breeze it feels like summer

[Mog] Today ... was a snow day. I'm serious. There was so much snow, school was cancelled.

Here, too! well, no cancelling of course, no one would ever be in school then... But I really thought spring had come to stay, had taken out my bike days ago, and then - nothing but snow for two days! The more it snows (Tiddely-POM)...

[Mog] I'll drink to that! IIEM, gimme a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso). And make it strong this time.

The spring is around the corner. All we have to do is just sit tight. There is a faster way to get warm, simply fly to Africa.
IIEM, may I have some African Cappuchino. Thank you

Guess what? I actually went skiing today!
I'm really proud of myself. You see, I'm a terrible skier... But today I only fell twice!
It was a great trip, too, the sun was shining like anything!
It's qiute embarrasing - Norwegians are supposed to be good at skiing, but I've always been lousy at it. Most 5-year-olds are better than me, honestly! But today was good...

kids sometimes ski better only because they don't have as much fear as grown ups do about falling and breaking something. (damn kids)

'ning all!
On the other hand, kids are closer to the ground which won't hurt so much if they fall - maybe that's the reason they're not afraid of falling?
IIEM, a please!

I think Finnish children are born with skis on their feet, hockey sticks in their hands, and an instinct for diving into the sea.

Hati Posted Apr 7, 2003
Could be. It's quite the same here. Exept that they are also born with some weird instinct of demanding the best equipment for that.

Its quite interesting how children are born with different instinks in different places. In Moscow they do get born with an instink to drink, though it starts to develope at 15 and up. I saw it with my own four... I mean two eyes
