A Conversation for The Café
The Café: Winter-blues longing for Spring
Bumblebee Started conversation Feb 3, 2003
Winter. Somehow February always seems to be the coldest month. Maybe it's because we're starting to see the bottom of the wood-pile. Not so here in the Café! Here there's always some backlogs to be thrown into the fireplace.... Won't be long now, the worst is soon over and Spring will eventually come.
The Christmas decorations are long gone. Heavy velvet curtains in sea-green frame the windows to keep the worst drafts away, just the same color as the table cloths. The candles on the tables are white. On the counter is a big glass-jar filled with colorful tulips. The jukebox in the corner plays softly a flute-concert in D minor.
Ook the blue orangutan is perfecting his backgammon skills in the back, regular costumers sits and relax at their favorite tables or in one of the deep chairs. The Deep Purple Sofa seems unoccupied for once...
IIEM (the Infinite Improbable Espresso Machine) is ready to serve you your favorite coffee or any beverage you like, sans alcohol.
Come in, make yourself at home. Welcome to the Café!

Umm, I have couple mugs already. Even one from the atelier - which made some people a bit upset. I picked a wrong time for returning then.

Hello!
*looks around at the new curtains, the candles and the tulips*
Oh, this is really nice, well done, Bumblebee!
IIEM, I'd like a hot chocolate, please. _Really_ hot. With cream.

*sips her hot chocolate and leans back in a comfy chair*
Those tulips are really nice! I love tulips, they're so... spring-ish... Though it's a bit early for that, especially where I live - the snow probably won't be gone until May, there's such a lot of it...

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. Here in Bergen they are selling them on the flower marked now.
If you remember to put them in a cold room at night, they will last longer. And don't give them too much water - they just need to stand "knee-deep"
I'm glad you like the new look here.
*Finds the FTTF-mug to Titania*
Here you go, café melange, wasn't it?
I need a cup of . IIEM? Earl Grey, please. Slice of lemon.

[Mog] IIEM, gimme a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso). And make it strong this time.

Had a 'health profile' done this morning - and, much to my astonishment, I was in better shape than last time (in September)... ...I haven't done anything differently - apart from getting more short of breath when walking to/from commuter train station due to the amounts of snow lately - trudging and climbing and sliding...
IIEM, a café mélange, please!
