I've got another moan...... I do apologise, but you can skip the next bit if you want.......
I found out that someone is being very underhand with me and lying to people that they apparently 'care' about - They are using my helpfulness, my love for them and my friendship to get what they want, while lying about important stuff to make them sound like they aren't really a nasty piece of work.
Well, I suppose all will come out in the wash, but what I can't understand is why don't they realise that lying (and it doesn't matter if it's a little white fib) won't make them a better or a more interesting person - it just hurts those around them and turns them into something even worse - a rotter, a cad (why can't I ever find the right word?).
When the other person finds out that they have been lying to them - friendships or relationships are irretrievably broken, they will never trust them again. They may say that they do, because they don't want to believe that this person would do such a thing, but there would be always something at the back of that persons head.
Trust should be paramount between friends - and usually you know just how much to tell them of your thoughts and fears, it just sickens me that someone so dispicable could use those same feelings to hurt that person. I don't always have 'rose tinted glasses' on, I know that there are some nasty people in the world.
I just never thought it would happen to me twice.
Well, that's it, moan over....... anybody with thoughts on the matter?
IIEM a lovely double latte with sprinkles please

Morning!
IIEM, a cappuccino, please.
Bumble: it was an ugly fight and since then we try to keep a polite distance. I'd call the situation a fragile balance.
Well, at least these things clear the atmosphere.
I don't want to Keep Smiling if I don't feel like it.
*sips and looks around*
The day is brilliant here - clear sky and warm air, +4C atm and getting warmer.
How is it in the other parts of the world?

Umm, Redwic, have you thought about why they lie?
Knowing that helps me to live with the other peoples lies. Well, the damage is done, of course, but your aim should be to avoid these thing happen in future.
I used to be very emotional with this kind of things and I wanted to strangle anybody who told serious lies about me but that lead nowhere. Now I just want to understand. There must be some basic reason somewhere in the personality or something...
Don't take it as I am defending the liars, these are just thoughts that occurred to me.

The Red Wiccan - Keeper of Eyeboogers and other bits of goo Posted Mar 16, 2002
Thanks for the Hatifnat, it was really needed.....
I think the reason that 'this' person lies is because they aren't really happy with themselves, they want to make up stories to make them seem a little bit more interesting - possibly.
But the worst thing is that this person is extremely funny, good looking and usually really nice to be around - but being only 22, I suppose they might grow out of it..... eventually. But it hurts others along the way.
It's nice to see another persons point of view, so thanks for that
anyway, I've got better things to do than worry about someone elses lies, I just hope 'they' get found out b4 it's too late?

I like your attitude.
You can't be happy for this person, all you need is to be happy for yourself.
We have a proverb about being able to eat the soup you cooked. I believe that sooner or later everyone has to taste some the bad soup they cooked.

Hello, Calico D!
I guess we haven't met before.
If you want something to drink, feel free to ask IIEM to make it for you. It can make any non-alcoholic drink, you see.
IIEM, I'd take another cappuccino, please.

[Mog] And I'll have another triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso). And make it strong this time.

Good Morning good people! Have you had a nice weekend?
I had a great trip to Kristiansand, a small pearl of a city on the South-coast of Norway. My father-in-law was celebrating his 75th birthday, and did so with gutso! I met parts of the family I seldom see and those "southerners" are very hospitable! One of Hubby's cousins have invited us to come and borrow their summer-cabin a couple of weeks or three this summer! Yay! I said yes thank's, on the spot!
loobrush and to Hati, I've been there and done that from time to time myself. It's tough work, but you just have to go through it and if you do, you'll come out stronger and brighter on the other side. Me and H. are celebrating our 18th anniversary come March 23rd.
Hi Redwic, I'm glad you got your batteries recharged. Sounds like you needed it. I'm not entirely sure that people "grow out of" such behavior. I can assure you that some really don't! But you'll learn to pick out the ones to trust and the ones to just have fun with as time goes by. Sometimes the two comes together, and then you can consider yourself wery lucky!

Thanks for that BB, you're right - I really needed it, I'm just hoping that they will see the errors of their way and slightly moderate the way they behave, at least to me!
But today, i've actually been smiling, and for no apparent reason!
*can I have a ?, I'm starving!
