Sometimes a good tidying up is all we need.. The cleaning-bots have done their little ballet on the floor, one of them have washed the windows and one have gone out with the trash. Bless the little tykes The tables have been wiped, and IIEM, the Infinite Improbability Espresso Machine, have gotten fresh filters and a good polish. The ashes in the fireplace are gone, instead there's a bouquet of fresh flowers on the mantel piece, and delicate, thin summer curtains have been hung up. Outside the air is fresh and green.
To old costumers and new: Welcome to the Café!

Thanks! I won't , I promise...
How have I been? Well...
I've been working on my sisters house all weekend so I'm kinda tired. Also, things didn't work out quite as I wanted them too with the girl mentioned in the other thread, so all in all, not too good...

Heh, The weekend went fast, that's for sure! You can read about Sunday here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F17921?thread=120691&skip=0&show=20 if you want I was so tired on Friday that I can't really remember much of it. Saturday was the Day of Dancing in Bergen, so we went and saw various forms of dancing around in the city-squares. Everything from ballet to swing, tap-dance and break-dance. freeform and jazz, and folkdance from Norway, Bulgaria, Ireland and Ghana. We had a couple of beers in a out-doors restaurant, and then it started to rain and we went home.

That's the way the weekend goes .
I'm quite happy to be at work now and to have some rest from all the "resting" I had to do while I was at home these last days.
The is great! Can I have one more piece?

Eat and be merry!
I know what you mean by needing a rest after the rest...
Not only there's a house to take care of, one's also expected to be social 'till the wee hours too! At work at least there's only work to do...

You are right .
And after all there's endless dishwashing. How nice to be ~at~ work. I don't really care much about ~working~ atm though.

Hello, all!
IIEM, a bowl of coffee and a cup of water please.
Bumblebee, do you think we could arrange for me to borrow those sheep? If they wandered as far as they did already, what's another 3000 miles or so? My lawn could use some trimming too. I should have mowed it yesterday, and now the clouds are threatening.
/* Looks at /___\ of coffee */
IIEM, can we reverse that please? I'll have a cup of coffee and a bowl of water.
/* puts new /___\ on floor */

The sheep idea is actually very good, though I need some very hungry and very big sheep to do the job. I have this quite virgin lawn if I can say so. The grass is about 1/2 meters high. OTOH it's a great place to play hide and seek. And I can find my scythe as it has been a years ago I used it the last time. (What a word - scythe - I spent 2 minutes to find it )

Bumblebee Posted Jun 11, 2001
At least it's pronounceable Try the Norwegian word for scythe,' ljå'. Get's even my tounge in a knot! Reason enough to let it be and just let the grass grow! Or hand the job over to the wooly volunteers
I'll send them in your direction d'E. as soon as they're done with the sculpted bushes..

[Mog] IIEM, gimme my usual!
[Kutan] That's a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso).
[Mog] And try and make it strong this time!

A scythe? Now wouldn't my neighbors look at me funny if I had a scythe. They might call the police.
"Scythe" is quite easy to pronounce. Just ignore about half the letters.
