No, I won't loose my job, but it's the third time another company takes over the one I'm working for, and the previous two (also in hotel business) meant a h*ll of a lot of job... and I'm growing tired of having to adjust my way of working, and the company culture - when it's not my own choice, but having it forced upon me!

Hilton, is that an American company? I hope you have a strong union!

No, it's the Hilton Group - they've got all the Hilton hotels outside the USA - the rest of the world, simply... HQ in the UK...

Still, a strong union can allways come in handy in situations like this.

Urgh, my nose is full of soot.

Had the same sensation Sunday morning... Went to a concert Saturday night, it was a releaseparty for the first "Drammen Rock City"-cd. A bunch of local bands. One of'em only played one song, and that was even playback... What they lacked in technical/musical qualities they definetely made up for by putting on an awesome show! They managed to burn off over 3000NKR's worth of pyrotechnics in just over 3 minutes... And that's a LOT! Bear in mind that these are amateurs, it's a small place, small stage, 200 people, and that much pyrotechnics makes a helluva lotta smoke... They even had a guy in chains, inside a small cage, just standing there, in front of the stage, making ugly faces! The "leadsinger" (he was wearing a gasmask, so I doubt he was doing any actual singing) was using a welder(?) or something, to deconstruct some stuff they'd put on stage... It was totally crazy! No sense in anything, just pure chaos. The most awesome show I've ever seen!

Sounds like some preformance-artists. I think there's some of those in every generation...

I've just spent two hours on the phone trying to find a hotellroom for one of our consultants.
How can an entire city be booked up at the same time?!?
In fact two cities, Stavanger and Sandes both. What are they doing down there? And why are they doing it today!
